PoA progress

Hiya, fellow Potter knitters!

I have some progress to show you on my PoA/Tantalizing socks. It's just the cuffs, mind you (I've got the second sock to finish from my first tant sock), and a detailed shot of the linen stitch, but it looks awesome!!

On ravelry and on flickr (for those of you whom don't yet have a ravlery account).

Enjoy! (:

Uh, note: pics taken with camera phone, so they're not the sharpest things in the world, but they get the job done. (esp. when you're tired)

Raffle...

Hey All, I am wondering if I won the raffle or Carrie made a mistake.....I received two (2) Order of the Phoenix skeins of yarn in my mailbox today. I hope it means I am a winner cause it's a beautiful color and my mom was already eyeing it up for a pair of socks! Mary Carol

Slytherin Socks in progress!

It's been quiet around here!!

I cast on the Heir of Slytherin socks right after Christmas.
Heir of Slytherin socks

Yes, I'm behind, but OCD enough that I will get ALL of them knit, and I will do it in order!

Not a bad sock, overall. I was in doubt if the construction would work. Starting the increases 3 inches past the toe? It seemed like either the foot would be way too short or way too big around, but, miraculously, it's turned out to be exactly the right length and width! I guess the key words here are "Trust the pattern", because it totally worked!

Even though you can't see from the picture, I'm knitting both socks at the same time. It's been a challenge, because of the shifting that has to happen before and after the heel, but now that I'm on the leg, it's going well.

I'm not sure what I think of the pink and purple striping, but I'll certainly keep going with it!

This sock makes me excited to try some of the other Cat Bordhi constructions!!

Details on Flickr or Ravelry.
